Organic Cotton Clothing For Men And Women

Changing some of the items in your wardrobe to organic cotton clothing is a great thing to do for the environment. It is a good thing to see it becoming available both in women's and men's fashion.

If you like to get rid of dangerous products from your life, you absolutely must consider making the change to wearing only organic cotton clothing. This soft and fluffy material is renowned for its capability to wrinkle if you do so much as look at it wrong. Cotton that does this has not been treated with a chemical called Formaldehyde.

What Is So Bad About "Ordinary" Cotton

Organic cotton for mens and womens fashionFormaldehyde bonds with the natural compounds of cotton, which stops it from wrinkling. Most cottons are now treated with this chemical in order to lower the quantity of work it takes to own cotton clothing. As well as Formaldehyde, as if wearing a cancer-causing agent wasn't bad enough, the method that non organic cotton goes thru does a number on the environment. Non organic cotton is grown with an extensive list of manure and insecticides used to guard and inspire expansion of the plants.

These manure and insecticides wash out of the fields and right into the ecosystems. From the local ecosystems, these compounds go straight into the streams, which then flow into the seas. You can see where this is going: the result's the growth of dead areas, for example the one found in the Gulf of Mexico. By refusing to buy anything apart from organic cotton clothing, you send a message to the bank accounts of producers of non organic cottons. The difficulty with organic cotton clothing is that not enough folks have requested it.

While the movement is picking up, just when folk demand top of the range, organic cotton clothing, does the mass producers of chemically augmented garments take notice and react. Just when these non organic producers change their systems of growing and treating cotton, does the impact of the damage caused to the environment become reduced. By helping in making organic cotton competitive with conventional cotton, we are all helping to massively change conventional buyers expectancies with a first mover advantage based on establishing trustworthy relations with farmers and other players who hold the key to organic cotton as a scanty resource.

It is indeed good to see that this material is now getting more common both in men's and ladies's fashion, and that it's also used for bedsheets, towels, baby clothes and the like. It is even slowly making its way into teen fashion!

Organic Cotton Clothing Care

When you own organic cotton clothing, you need to be certain that you are only using natural cleaning products with your clothes. Cotton will bond with many substances and hold residue in the fiber of the threads.

When you use natural cleaning products, you can rest assured that you will not be wearing any extra chemicals.

The typical person consumes a great amount of non natural chemicals on an everyday basis, so removing exposure to these chemicals as frequently as you can is important for stopping cancer and keeping up the environment.

Wearing organic cotton clothing is only the start though. From your garments, you can adjust to eating organic food and using natural cleaning products in efforts of living a green way of life. Remember, eating organic food doesn't give any extra health benefits from eating other veggies. You only lower the quantity of trace chemicals introduced into your system as well as prevent excess chemicals from being dropped into the environment.
